PAHV Communications Policy

Communications Policy

The Communications Policy has been put in place to ensure that staff, the Committee and Owners understand how and when to make contact. We value these relationships in the PAHV community, and as your Committee we believe that if we follow these guidelines, we will benefit.

This policy covers a range of ways to contact each other including in person, online, at a surgery or a meeting. The aim is for us all to understand:

  • How to resolve problems informally. Formal complaints, whilst they are sometimes needed should be the last resort as they are expensive, resulting in needing advice from specialists at cost and many hours of investigation and writing up.
  • To be able to come forward with ideas and questions. But this must be in the right way, so that things can be responded to by the right person as quick as possible.
  • That there is trust in our confidentiality. As a staffing team and Committee we want owners to trust that where required things are treated confidentially. All staff and Committee members have signed a confidentiality agreement.
